There aren't many events out there that remind me of how we used to run Tampa Pro. Copenhagen Pro is one of those. It's just loose and chill with ripping skating, raging nightlife, and big smile hospitality. I've got a bunch of photos and sequences as usual.

Sox Watkins is the chief of the Carve Wicked crew. Say "Carve Wicked" in your best Euro accent, picture a shirtless backside slash, and you got a taste of the vibe.
Every time I hear Jeff Pang on the mic in Copenhagen, I think of years ago when he was getting super raw with the crowd from effects of the Tuborg tornado that assaulted his liver. He's just as entertaining without the booze talking, though.
The crowd is that thick all around the park. Not thick as in American thick, thick as in lots of people.
Pause for a gear check.
It's hot here. The entire crowd is shirtless except for the dude coming in with the finger.
Down the street, there's a Levis and Circus Circus Best Trick Contest going down combined with a bangin' party. That's Al Partanen on a backside boneless.
The last two times I've seen Chet Childress, I've also seen him full frontal naked. He kept his clothes on as far as I know today. That's a bluntslide into the bank.
That's only half the crowd on this random street party.
Luan Oliveira is here with the Nike crew and warming up with giant 360 flips over the quarter gap.

The mix of skaters that come to this contest is so diverse and unlike any other contest, which is why we started referring to it as the Tampa Pro of Europe years ago. Finally Home - Dream Driveway Session

I feel like a broken record talking about how much I’ve traveled this summer, but damn it’s nice to be home for a bit. There were a few times this year that the coping on the Dream Driveway got a little rusty. So no better way to grind that surface rust right off than to have a few friends over. One of my childhood buddies, James Luedde, is a photographer, and kept asking to shoot some pics, so we hooked it up. Keep in mind that this is his first time ever shooting skating. Not bad.

We're in Copenhagen once a year when the skateboarding world comes together at Copenhagen Pro. As you've seen from all the coverage, it's a great city with everything you need as a pusher of the wood and wheels: great skate spots, happy ass people, nightlife that lasts through noon the next day, and more. Get a sample of street shred going on outside of that party week from Hjalte Halberg, Jonas Skrøder, Laurent Gehin, Emil Hvilsom, and more in this Kingpin video they just put out. I'm still not convinced it's the last year of Copenhagen Pro. More on that later.

You know the fine folks that have been doing the skateboard shindig in Copenhagen for the past seven years? Year after year, many of your favorite pros refer to that as one of the best pro contests of the year. We certainly think the same. This year, they're changing it up a bit. It's the CPH Bowl and will be held in a new transition structure built inside the Copenhagen Skatepark. The dates have just been set for August 28 - 31. We'll have more details soon. For now, here's the basic schedule.

What's the number one excuse not to travel? At least when you're young, it always seems to be 'I'm broke.' Traveling broke makes you rich in life experience that no economic downturn can ever take away. One way to spice up a trip and increase your chances of having a floor to sleep on with new friends is to base it around a good old fashioned skateboard shindig. It just so happens that we've got a few good international gatherings of skateboard rippers coming up in Canada, Denmark, South Africa, and yes, America! Check these out along with some suggestions on how to get there.

The first of four ripping days of bowl skateboarding and friendly faces here in Copenhagen is a wrap. Neal Hendrix is behind the shutter and HiDefJoe is on it for the video. They've got photos and an episode of On The Boardr to make you feel like you where right here with us if you aren't able to make it here. Today when we walked into this BMX bowl, we weren't sure what would be going down in there. It wasn't long before Raven Tershy, Ronnie Sandoval, Greyson Fletcher, and more were dropping jaws in that thing.

Years ago, we stopped putting the dates and schedule out to the public to help reduce the insane crowd size, which is too much for these intimate venues and street spots where it all goes down. Of course that doesn't work to well at the best skateboarding shindig in the history of skateboarding. Hope you had as good of a time as we did.
