On The Boardr at Roskilde Music Festival in Copenhagen

Posted by Rob Meronek on Thursday, July 24, 2014

Clements and Porpe went to Roskilde to host and announce some vert demos. The scene at Roskilde is quite a circus of European psycho. Take a glimpse into that Porpe Life here on another episode of On The Boardr along with some great photos by Neal Hendrix and Porpe Life himself.

Every time I’ve been to Copenhagen there is something new to skate. This little thing is better than the Bro Bowl.

Basketball hoop, baby hip, and perfect flat ground is basically my dream spot. Not to mention the white wall for projecting some jock sport that I love watching.

Clements couldn’t help but get a boneless over the baby hip.

This is what CPH Skatepark looks like when the madness of CPH Pro isn’t happening. This year the fine people of Copenhagen are hosting the very first CPH Bowl Jam. For more information on that click here.

This crew from the UK came to Copenhagen for the Roskilde madness. They been sleeping on the vert ramp at CPH Skatepark so they are pretty comfortable being half naked in front of each other.
Profile:

They also got matching tattoos while they were in Copenhagen.

This amount of beer last maybe an hour at Roskilde.

I was skeptical about these pee-tree portable pissers, but I ended up using it a handful of time.

Ryan and I were there to announce a Vert Demo, but there was also a street contest. They build some obstacles to an already existing skate park on the festival grounds.

Here is a handrail at the Roskilde Skatepark. What you got for it?

There is a small stage at Roskilde Skatepark where they have local acts perform before the festival officially begins.

We didn’t think Alex Perelson was going to make it to the demo since he missed his flight the day before. To all of our surprise he showed up 10 minutes before the demo started. Jet lag and all he killed it. Pure talent this dude is.

X Games Gold Medalist, Jimmy Wilkins, was part of the vertical demonstration. This was his first time in Copenhagen, and I’m pretty sure it won’t be his last.

There was a nice little crowd for the Vert Demo.

There are 130,000 people that attend Roskilde Festival, and these were the only cops I saw the whole entire time. As a matter of fact, this may have been the first time I've seen anyone get arrested in Denmark.

There will be a new episode of On The Boardr up on the ride channel soon. Thanks for filming our chinanigans!

People walk around the festival wearing costumes and what not. I had to take a photo with Superman.

Anyone looking forward to that Batman vs. Superman movie?

I have to give many thanks to these two dues for making this Roskilde trip happen. William from CPH Skatepark for hiring The Boardr to organize the demo, and Ryan for letting me tag along with him.
Profile:

The dude’s bike that Ryan was standing on was letting it all hang out.

When we left the Roskilde Festival there was a skatepark we had to check out in the city where the city made a drainage ditch into a full on downhill skatepark.
Profile:

I think we need to host a contest at this park.

Here is another angle of the Roskilde Drainage Ditch Skatepark.

This is probably the scariest thing I have ever done on my skateboard. It’s like riding a roller coaster for the first time.
Profile:

Thank you William and Keld for the great time in Copenhagen and Roskilde Festival. Can I please come back next year?
Profile:

This is a small sample of how many people attend Roskilde Festival.

Nice seeing Earl Sweatshirt performing at these big European Music Festivals.
Profile:

Outkast performed on the main stage. It was epic.
Profile:

Can’t wait to come back in August for CPH Bowl Jam. Really looking forward to it.
