After things got rained out on Sunday, we moved it all over to Copenhagen Skatepark and added a Vert Jam along with a tight squeeze for the crowd into the bowl there. Then followed the usual after-party until 6am. HiDefJoe's got a video recap and I've got a weekend camera dump below.
The only thing unmellow about the Pool Contest yesterday was the serious ripping going down. At 2pm when the Contest was supposed to start, neither skaters or crowd were on site. Then around 3pm, they all descended in mellow troves, Tuborgs and spliffs in hand. We made it through some Jams before the rain turned it into a big chillfest under the trees. Check out more photos from Neal Hendrix and HiDefJoe's video recap in another episode of On The Boardr. Get results as they come in on the Results Page and view the updated schedule and how the rain-out adjustment worked here.
The first of four ripping days of bowl skateboarding and friendly faces here in Copenhagen is a wrap. Neal Hendrix is behind the shutter and HiDefJoe is on it for the video. They've got photos and an episode of On The Boardr to make you feel like you where right here with us if you aren't able to make it here. Today when we walked into this BMX bowl, we weren't sure what would be going down in there. It wasn't long before Raven Tershy, Ronnie Sandoval, Greyson Fletcher, and more were dropping jaws in that thing.
Click a map pin to see where we've been doing skateboarding events outside of all the ones we do at The Boardr Headquarters in Tampa. We run skateboarding shindigs year after year with full coverage and results right here on The Boardr site. From coordinating international contest series like the adidas Skate Copa, fun and ripping pro contests like Copenhagen Pro, running the Park and Street at X Games, coordinating the Kimberley Diamond Cup in South Africa, to plenty of local events like the Grind for Life Series in Florida, you'll find us in your backyard soon no matter where on the globe you push your wood and wheels. In 2015, The Boardr Am was started, offering top amateur skateboarders an all expenses paid path to skate at X Games in Austin where The Boardr Am Finals are each year.
