P45 Vans Best Trick Session in Montreal

Copenhagen Just Had the Best Vert Session That Ever Happened

After things got rained out on Sunday, we moved it all over to Copenhagen Skatepark and added a Vert Jam along with a tight squeeze for the crowd into the bowl there. Then followed the usual after-party until 6am. HiDefJoe's got a video recap and I've got a weekend camera dump below.
Copenhagen Bowl 2014: Rain in the Pool

The only thing unmellow about the Pool Contest yesterday was the serious ripping going down. At 2pm when the Contest was supposed to start, neither skaters or crowd were on site. Then around 3pm, they all descended in mellow troves, Tuborgs and spliffs in hand. We made it through some Jams before the rain turned it into a big chillfest under the trees. Copenhagen Bowl 2014 Begins

The first of four ripping days of bowl skateboarding and friendly faces here in Copenhagen is a wrap. Neal Hendrix is behind the shutter and HiDefJoe is on it for the video. They've got photos and an episode of On The Boardr to make you feel like you where right here with us if you aren't able to make it here. Today when we walked into this BMX bowl, we weren't sure what would be going down in there. It wasn't long before Raven Tershy, Ronnie Sandoval, Greyson Fletcher, and more were dropping jaws in that thing.

What's the number one excuse not to travel? At least when you're young, it always seems to be 'I'm broke.' Traveling broke makes you rich in life experience that no economic downturn can ever take away. One way to spice up a trip and increase your chances of having a floor to sleep on with new friends is to base it around a good old fashioned skateboard shindig. It just so happens that we've got a few good international gatherings of skateboard rippers coming up in Canada, Denmark, South Africa, and yes, America! Check these out along with some suggestions on how to get there.

The Streetstyle Contest at Dew Tour Portland looks insane in person. Then when you see people like Raven and Sheckler skate the stuff, it's even more nuts. We could relocate The Boardr offices to Portland. This city too good. We've got photos and video from the whole weekend here.

This weekend starts the US Open at Huntington Beach where Vans is having another Van Doren Invitational in the sand. Included in this one is a week's worth of events in the bowl including a Shop vs Shop Contest on Sunday and a Women's Contest on Tuesday. That following Friday and Saturday are the main events where you can watch live online.

Active Wins adidas Skate Copa 2014 Finals

After winning the West Coast Regionals yesterday, Active went on to win the adidas Skate Copa 2014 Finals today at The Berrics. Have you seen that trophy designed by Gonz??? Porpe will have some photos soon and of course The Berrics will have footage of the ripping published before you know it. Congrats to Active and thanks again to adidas for putting together a top notch national crew against crew contest that turned out to be one of the most fun contest series we've done in a long time.
