The Boardr and Empire Bring Back Am Getting Paid, Canada's Top Am Skateboarding Event
Published 8/6/2014 by Rob Meronek
Empire and The Boardr have partnered up to bring back Canada's top am skateboarding skateboarding Contest. It's September 12 - 14, Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Registration is going on right now and you know who to email. Yep, hit me up at Rob@TheBoardr.com and I'll take care of you. This one's in Montreal at Le Taz, that place with the super good DIY in the back. Check the street course and more info below, including Empire's always raging nightlife and daylife shindigs associated with the event. Cue the Canada jokes, eh, the entire crew from The Boardr will see you there. Oh, and recarding the "Paid" part, the purse at this one is $20k!
Let's take two trips down memory lane, one short and one long.
2013: Announcing The Boardr
Last year at La Taz during Empire Backyard Party, it was just a few days prior to us announcing our new company, The Boardr. It was the first event we used The Board Live at and also the first time I heard Ryan on the mic say, "This is Ryan Clements from The Boardr." That felt crazy. We're hyped to be going back to run a ripping am Contest with Empire.Photos

It just so happens that we've got a few good international gatherings of skateboard rippers coming up in Canada, Denmark, South Africa, and yes, America! Check these out along with some suggestions on how to get there.
