adidas Skate Copa at Portland

adidas Skate Copa is an international Shop Team vs Shop Team contest where the winners get flown to The Berrics for the Global Finals. This stop in Portland involved both ledge destruction from Mark Suciu and wall jamming from the rest of the rippers like Brennan Boothe and Augie Johansen from all 20 of the shop teams that were in town for the event.
The Boardr Industry Swap Meet This Friday

This Friday at The Boardr HQ in Tampa, there's a bit of classic skateboard bid'niss being done with shops and brands from 10am to 3pm. Then at 3pm, we're open to the public with free skating, hand shaking, and network making.
Buildout for Zappos Rideshop

Big Al is currently at The Boardr HQ here in Tampa building the Zappos Rideshop course that will puzzle piece together for a flatbed trip to Las Vegas on May 29. We're taking over downtown again with some ripping skateboarding sans open container laws with your favorite pros and top ams. Attendance is wide open for all ages and completely free, too.
Tim O'Connor Chats with Dustin Blauvelt after Winning The Boardr Am Detroit

Dustin Blauvelt won the Detroit stop of The Boardr Am, earning himself an all expenses paid spot in The Boardr Am Finals at X Games Austin to join a short list of just 12 elite top amateur skateboarders, one of which will be holding an X Games Gold Medal after the Texas dust settles. The next stop of The Boardr Am is in New York City on May 2.

It was another nice Florida weekend of skateboarding from literally all ages and skills. From 7-year-olds to 53-year-olds and everyone in between, men and women included, everyone ripped. Dustin Blauvelt Wins The Boardr Am at Detroit

Congrats, Dustin! And little Silas Blauvelt! After the second of three runs in the Finals, Jereme was in first and Dustin knew he had to step it up. Jamie Foy Wins The Boardr Am at Tampa Bay

Marcos Montoya had the Qualifiers and Semi-Finals on lock, but when the format switched to Runs for the Finals, it was Jamie Foy who ended up putting the best line of tricks together. Jamie will join Jon Cos and Jagger Eaton at The Boardr Am Series Finals at X Games in Austin. Congrats Baby Body! Thanks to everyone who was here today.

What is a Skateboarder? Rodney Mullen, Tech Industry, and Innoskate

This one hit fairly close to home for me. I've been both a computer and skateboard nerd my whole life. Recently, Rodney Mullen has immersed himself in the world of Linux, a computer operating system made by this dude Linus who I would imagine now can kickflip like everyone else. Anyway, Rodney was recently written about in this Wired article where he goes on about the similarities between banging your head on a computer keyboard like I do all day and perfecting skateboarding stunts.

We're putting all the individual match ups for the later rounds in the industry game of SKATE we had here at The Boardr. We called it BINGO at The Boardr where letters worked opposite from SKATE, so the first old guy with BINGO wins.
The Boardr Live 2014 Stats: 4,000+ Skateboarder Profiles

The Boardr Live is our live and instant scoring software that is used at most of the skateboarding events we run. Zumiez, Vans, adidas, Cowtown, and other friends in the industry also use it to make their events run smooth and integrate with live TV and web broadcasts. I dove into the numbers to get some end of the year stats on the 4,000+ skater profiles that were created and/or updated. We've got pros, ams, and "former pros" in our database which throws the pro/am percentage total off a bit, FYI.
