Congrats to 3rd Lair for winning it in the final bracket today. They're going all expenses paid to The Berrics for the Finals. Our photos and video recap is below.
We had some time to push around the city of Chicago before getting to work on adidas Skate Copa this weekend. I think they call it the murder capital because of the traffic. Other than that, this town is a great one. Our adventure told through snapshots as usual is below.
Some early morning recreational activity before hitting the wood and wheels. HiDefJoe, Scotty, and I flew out at 5:30am Tampa time and landed in Chicago before most people go to work in the morning.
Profile: Jorge Angel aka PorpeThere's a USA soccer game today and downtown Chicago is looking crazy American right now. Well, so is Porpe.
Profile: Jorge Angel aka PorpeThe fire hydrants are all pint sized like this here. Porpe has a switch ollie for America over this one.
Profile: Jorge Angel aka PorpeChicago may be the only city where Body is snapping them over the hydrants on every corner.
Profile: Scotty Conley aka The BodyBody solicits reactions from passerby cruise patrons. That hairy nipple provides hours of entertainment like this.
Profile: Scotty Conley aka The BodyHotel security here asked us if we're with Red Bull while skating this spot. You tell them what they want to hear and you can get a trick in like HiDefJoe here.
Profile: Joe Pelham aka HiDefJoeWith there being no run-up on this manageable sized rail for an old guy, it's a good excuse to go caveman.
Profile: Rob MeronekYou know the story behind this photo if you're watching our Story on The Boardr Snap Chat. Check the video on our Instagram, too.
Porpe didn't have time to make this frontside noseslide before we got the boot because, according to those hood women, we are black.
Profile: Jorge Angel aka PorpeWe made it to the seawall! Everyone's got to get a carve. Clements goes slash style over the 'safe' part.
Profile: Ryan ClementsHiDefJoe takes a break from goalie duty for a backside one into the mist.
Profile: Joe Pelham aka HiDefJoePorpe went over that thing, came out with speed, separated from his board towards the edge, and lost his board when HiDefJoe had to make the fast decision to either save his board or save Porpe from going in. Good call on saving Porpe.
Profile: Jorge Angel aka PorpeNow it's time to get to work. When you have to wake up and be at work at 6am, there's no time for getting dressed.
Profile: Scotty Conley aka The BodyCotie Robinson is here from Louisville with Galaxie on a backside tailslide for Team Handsome flow.
Profile: Cotie RobinsonJoe Lanenga was the old guy on Premier but contributing to the scoreboard with young guy tricks.
Profile: Joe LanengaThe commentary was from Body and Tim was super as usual. Thanks for the laughs. Check our Story on Snap Chat for some samples.
Profile: Tim O'ConnorWatch for Nestor Judkins and Kevin Lowry on The Berrics edits they're doing that document the weekend in Chicago.
Profile: Nestor JudkinsWow, Cody Davis did this noseslide multiple times in the Finals brackets. In the last one, he did a frontside 50-50 on the other side.
