adidas Partners with The Boardr for a National Shop vs Shop Contest Series: adidas Skate Copa

As you've seen with the adidas line of Skate Copa gear, it's a celebration of the year of World Cup and adidas' futbol heritage. adidas has also teamed up with The Boardr to bring you the Skate Copa, a US series of Shop vs. Shop Team Contests that we're excited to be running. We're announcing the dates today, with more details to come. Check out all the stops on our Events page that includes NYC in just two weeks, Atlanta, Austin, Chicago, and the last stop and Finals being in Los Angeles at The Berrics.

adidas Skate Copa kicks off this summer with a tribute to football and the World Cup. Benny Fairfax, Lem Vilemin, Gonz, Raul Navarro, Lucas Puig, and Rodrigo Tx all have their own jersey from their own land and a sample of some shredding in this Skate Copa video adidas just dropped. You can browse our stock of adidas in The Boardr Store here. We'll be working with adidas on some big plans with Skate Copa this summer that we'll be announcing very soon.

Adidas welcomes Dennis Durant to their international team with this ripping part. His flat ground 360 flips at speed are snappy. Actually everything's snappy from the front cane on the bench back to the king sized switch back smiths, with some scary fakie flips in there, too.

24 Hours in Portland for Mixing Skateboard Bid'niss and Pleasure

We went to Portland this week to meet with adidas on some 2014 plans that are quickly coming together. We'll have an announcement on what we're up to on March 1st. While we were there, we visited their offices for the first time and hit up Silas to skate The Grotto for a while.
An Updated Tour of The Boardr Store

We're continuing to slowly grow our Store, add new brands, and lay the foundation for our long term plans here at The Boardr which doesn't just include all these events we're doing. It includes retail. I love the sketchy skateboard industry and everything about it. If you're not part of it, I hope you get to work in it someday. There's never a dull moment. If you haven't been to The Boardr Store in a while, I've got a few photos for you.
adidas Skate Copa in NYC This Saturday

This weekend in NYC at LES Skatepark, we're hanging out with the adidas team including two Marks that I'm definitely going to mark out on: Gonz and Suciu. It's the first stop of the adidas Skate Copa series, a national shop vs shop contest where the winning shop gets all expenses paid to the Finals at The Berrics in LA. See you there on Saturday. We're buying food and drinks for everyone on site after the contest is over, too.

Congrats to the Labor Skate Shop crew that gets an all expenses paid trip to The Berrics for the Finals in July. Next stop for adidas Skate Copa is Atlanta on May 31. adidas Skate Copa Atlanta Shops Recap

Plus and SPoT both have edits done from the Atlanta stop of the adidas Skate Copa series. They were the last two shops in the Finals brackets where SPoT ended up winning. We'll see them in LA at The Berrics for the Finals. Also, over at The Berrics, they've got their three edits from the Atlanta stop. The next Skate Copa is next weekend in Austin, Texas at House Park.

In skateboard heaven I picture the cleanest most hard snapping crispy flat ground where I'm playing Porpe in a game of SKATE and beating him over and over. When I look down at my Nestor Judkins immaculate cloud kickers, I discover that they have yet to accumulate a single scratch or speck of dust. I'm chillin'. Cloud kick it with me while we sit back and watch Porpe struggle with 360 flips.

Two Live Crews

The Boardr staff is split up into two crews today, both at skateboard shindigs where the digital back end is powered by our instant scoring app, The Boardr Live. Porpe and Clements are with one troupe in LA at The Berrics to run adidas Skate Copa and Paul Zitzer and I are in Vancouver for Van Doren Invitational at Hastings. Details are below.
Active Wins adidas Skate Copa 2014 Finals

After winning the West Coast Regionals yesterday, Active went on to win the adidas Skate Copa 2014 Finals today at The Berrics. Have you seen that trophy designed by Gonz??? Porpe will have some photos soon and of course The Berrics will have footage of the ripping published before you know it. Congrats to Active and thanks again to adidas for putting together a top notch national crew against crew contest that turned out to be one of the most fun contest series we've done in a long time.

Last weekend was a busy one for The Boardr. Rob and Paul Zitzer were in Vancouver running the Van Doren Invitational, while the rest of the crew was in Los Angeles at The Berrics for adidas Skate Copa West Coast Regionals and Finals.
