Vans Park Series at Serra Negra

Serra Nega, Brazil was the second Global Qualifiers stop of the season where Pedro blew the trees out of the jungle in all three of his runs. Any one of his first three runs in the Finals could have been the first place run. Pedro was unstoppable in Brazil again.

Also at this stop was the Brazilian National Championships where we got a good reminder of just how much raw talent exists in Brazil. Photos below are a sample of the ripping skating and great times we all had outside of the contest in the beautiful small town of Serra Negra.

I had to verify multiple times with multiple people that Pedro Quintas was really just 14. He's got forearm ink and skates like a grown man.

Sam Gordon just moved to Tampa to work with us the day before we all left for Brazil. He's been chasing waterfalls with us in Brazil but has yet to set foot in HQ in Tampa.

Serra Negra is two hours outside of Sao Paulo. A nice little town of just 20,000 people.

Perfect weather and smooth, mellow hills is a great way to end the rolling night.

Across from the hotel was the go to spot for dining and setting off fireworks until the cops show up.

This kid asked Dylan for some stickers and he gave him two decks instead. What followed was a hug so big and deep we can still feel the effects hours later.

Dylan's a pro at Sunday brunch, so being in Brazil isn't going to stop anything. Two bottles of champagne and fresh squeezed local orange juice made for a great pop up brunch on the streets of Serra Negra.

Palm Sunday proceeded through the streets while we sat back and relaxed after work.

There are five spots in the World Championships available to winners of each of the Continental Championships in five regions of the world. The event is wide open to anyone who wants to enter. When the dust settled, Patrick Ryan and Dora Varella, ended up securing their spots in Shanghai.

Congrats Sakura Yosozumi and Tom Schaar on winning Womens and Mens divisions at the first Global Qualifiers stop of 2018. Sakura wrapped up her winning run with a backside noseblunt revert while Tom capped his with a big spin backside lipslide in the deep end.
