Some Local Skateparks and Lurkin' in Austin With the SOTY

This local park is pretty outdated, but no matter how much a skatepark kind of sucks, you still end up having a good time rolling around. At least the locals here aren't stuck with something 1000 times worse than this like the Bro Bowl in Tampa. Did I mention that whole situation makes me wanna puke?

We met Erik Ramirez here ripping. He's born and raised here in Austin. Shortly after this nollie big spin, he did nollie big heel first try. You can make it work with a substandard outdated park, unless it's beyond outdated and doesn't even have a basic grindable lip or anything modern anywhere like the Bro Bowl that a handful of skateboarders in Tampa succeeded in turning into a roadblock to skateboarding progression. Makes me wanna puke.

I'm now blasting out seven social networks for The Boardr: Twitter, Instagram, Google+, Tumblr, Vine, Facebook, and Snap Chat. That's a lot of work but we sure are having a good time doing it, especially with all of you that recently added us on Snap Chat that we're doing behind the scenes and random silly crap on with our Story. Social media guru Fred Van Schie here can give you some tips on all that networking stuff. Maybe we could use some pointers.

We're now rushing through the streets of downtown to get to the bat bridge where apparently at around 9pm, a million or so bats come flying out from under a bridge. That's the capitol building in the background. The X Games Vert Contest is right next to it.

Seeing the bats is so good that there are boat tours that take you out to the bridge to watch them swarm. Where are they?
