adidas Skate Copa Global Finals at The Berrics

The second year of adidas Skate Copa just wrapped up, this year with five extra international stops making 10 total shop teams that all came to Los Angeles for the Global Finals at The Berrics. 3rd Lair destroyed it this year. After that amazing day of ripping skating, A$AP Ferg came and did a show that blew everyone away before calling it a night.

Since we created the series back then, 249 shops and 1,021 skaters on those teams have ripped at 15 stops, including five new global ones in 2015. Seeing the power and influence that local shops around the world still have in these big time days of modern skateboarding is a beautiful thing. If you think skateboarding is at all ruined, you are paying attention to the wrong things.

adidas Skate Copa is an international Shop Team vs Shop Team contest where the winners get flown to The Berrics for the Global Finals. This stop in Portland involved both ledge destruction from Mark Suciu and wall jamming from the rest of the rippers like Brennan Boothe and Augie Johansen from all 20 of the shop teams that were in town for the event.

Today was like your average day in #BoardrBoys life, but multiplied by 10. We had two events to run. First was Joey Brezinski's Wheelie Dope at the Courthouse followed by the adidas Skate Copa Global Finals at The Berrics where 10 teams from around the world were in town for the big shindig. Following that, A$AP Ferg shut it down. That was one damn fine skateboard day.
