With full social distancing and all CDC guidelines, #GFLSeries Presented by Marinela had a stop at Lakeland Skatepark. Check photos and video coverage below.
We worked cohesively with the City of Lakeland on this one. Their group and ours had signage posted on how to stay safe. We had five sanitation stations and the judging area was maintained at all times with disinfectant. Our staff wore masks as much as possible. All Registration was done online, no wristbands were issued, and no cash was accepted. You literally could not check-in on site…it all had to be done online. Staff was required to bring their own lunch since we we did not provide. Awards were done at a 6’ distance and the announcers specifically told the crowd to not gather when we handed out the Prizes (which we did more frequently at this stop so parents could leave with their kids if they chose to do so). The announcers discussed policies and protocol all day to remind the crowd about safety regulations. Thanks to everyone for working with us to maintain the lowest risk environment possible while we all had a good time skateboarding.

Like a bear out of contest hibernation, The Body is awake and on site at 7am.

Profile: Mike RogersThanks to Igloo for backing GFL, but there is nothing cold about his back disaster in the hot sun.

Profile: Dylan PerryI like when your front foot comes off a frontside bluntslide then the board just sucks back up before you pop out.
Profile: Cass HechtJackson Tutor just skated his first contest ever this weekend. He didn't do so hot, but that's how it goes for just about everyone. He's a big fan of Trey Jones as we all are.
