Upcoming Skateboard Shindigs

This weekend starts the US Open at Huntington Beach where Vans is having another Van Doren Invitational in the sand. Included in this one is a week's worth of events in the bowl including a Shop vs Shop Contest on Sunday and a Women's Contest on Tuesday. Two new ones added to the events list are ESPN's Game of Skate in Bristol and, are you ready for it, ready, you sure, you want to hear it, it's the "O" word, ready, the Youth Olympic Games in China. The wood and wheels are not in the Olympics, yet, but they're doing some demos out there that Ryan Clements is going to announce and be present for. Our April Fool's joke may be true before you know it. The ESPN one is in their hometown of Bristol, Conneticut where eight top pros will throw letters at each other on the flats.
