Almost Skateboards has a show on Ride Channel called Almost Famous. It's got a healthy dose of footage from Chris Haslam in this second episode here. There are two references to really old OG skateboarding. Did you get them? One is the Natas Kaupas fire hydrant spin and the other is the Jeff Kendal early grab method air off the stairs.

Billy Rohan and Rodney Mullen both went to the same high school? I didn't know that one. They're both from Gainesville, Florida, just two hours north of us here at The Boardr Headquarters in Tampa. Billy hosts a feature on one of the best sites on the web right now, Jenkem Magazine. It's called VHS Days and on this one he takes a look at Rodney Mullen's part in the old Plan B video. It's about time there was a new Plan B video, right???

This one hit fairly close to home for me. I've been both a computer and skateboard nerd my whole life. Recently, Rodney Mullen has immersed himself in the world of Linux, a computer operating system made by this dude Linus who I would imagine now can kickflip like everyone else. Anyway, Rodney was recently written about in this Wired article where he goes on about the similarities between banging your head on a computer keyboard like I do all day and perfecting skateboarding stunts.
