I had a nice responsible partying night at the Chronicles 2 Premiere that was a block from where I live in downtown Tampa. Someone should have given Donovon a mic while he heckled himself during his entire part from the back of the theater with lines like, "Is that Dylan?!" Ha, thanks for the entertainment. Things spilled over to The Hub next door of course before I snuck out shortly after midnight. I snapped a few here and there...

A block away from Tampa Theater was our Yosemite Sam Mayor of Tampa doing the Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony in our local Curtis Hixon Park. I live in one of those buildings there on the right.
I'm hyped to have this Premiere in my neighborhood at Tampa Theater.
Before the show, of course it's a few tips of sauce at The Hub. Porpe is getting a bar sports lesson from the Greyhound Bus Station clientele.
My fellow FSEC Card Carrying Member John Party works in the Pizza Fusion around the corner. We see each other all the time, but it's not usually in The Hub.
Filmer droid HiDefJoe is about to lose the gear and get smoked out at The Hub.
Vegan Nerd is getting Insta-clips at TECO next door. Where's Porpe with the front board? Maybe in the next issue of The Skateboard Mag.
Josh Stewart, Paul Zitzer, and Colin Kennedy might be the only group party photo I've ever taken without some sort of hand gesture or gang sign.
I heard kids asking, "Is that the real one?" when they saw Corey Duffel. There's still to this day a lot of impostors.
Sean Bowes bangs on the keyboard every now and then for some contributions to The Boardr. This Christmas pimp needs some mistletoe.
The scene out front after Ishod's gap kickflip back lip ender was a large heavy metal parking lot. Either they don't know the best bar in the world is next door, or they're not all 21 yet.

The last skateboarding video premiere here at Tampa Theater was Static by that squatter you see there, starring those non-hand gesture photo posers on the left.

That Shaqueefa Mixtape Volume 2 premiere tonight made me straight up proud of my local skate scene and was the most live one I've ever been at. I'm a full generation older than all these dudes and I'm hyped to see they're keeping skateboarding raw like I knew it when I grew up in it.

I first met Daryl Angel way way back in 2002 when he skated an am contest we were running. Out of 108 skaters that day, he placed 105th. Sometimes it just happens that way for your first big contest. Maybe you're over it, maybe the butterflies kicked in, maybe you're just not a contest skater and your TM asked to you be in it, maybe you were in your party phase. Today, Daryl Angel is pro for Habitat and destroying it in skateboarding. Nike just recently released his Chronicles 2 part online. Have a rewatch!

HiDefJoe recently spent a week on a South Florida adventure to capture the good times on a wear test of Nike's new Stefan shoe with the heavenly footbed they call Lunar. Starting at MIA and going through Naples, our former employer SPoT, and on to Lakeland's park where we'll be on Go Skateboarding Day, it sure looked like a damn good skateboard time, especially combined with Joe's style in capturing it all.

Nike SB has teamed up with Familia Skateshop for their collaborative edition of the Dunk high Premium. Textured blue suede covers most of the shoe while a white toe and laces contrast against the textured upper. The highlight of the look comes in the form of a yellow swoosh with matching embroidery on the heel. To top it off, the shoe is lined with a buffalo plaid print to give it a lumberjack feel.
