Every year in Kimberley, one of the highlights are the 5am mini-Safari's with The Boardr Head Judge, Jason Rothmeyer
Our buddy Rudy from South Africa has the perfect Safari vehicle, so he helped out on the morning Rothmeyer missions. Definitely looks like the official vehicle of Africa.

All of these crazy mounds are built by termites. There's millions of them.
This year we had a new experience in Kimberley. A few of us made trips to a township outside of town called "The Promised Land" These townships are how a huge percentage of South African's live, and for spoiled Americans it is an exercise in humility to see how these people live yet how nice they are.
This isn't how you carry your groceries????
This lady was about a million years old and had exactly one tooth.
Americans do not possess this skill. Period.
Thank you to everyone in The Promised Land and the surrounding townships for being so nice and so accommodating to us. So many beautiful amazing people. See you next year.

How Nyjah Huston Lost to Nassim Guammaz in South Africa

Half way through the 3 minute jam, you could hear the crowd getting more and more live as it became apparent that Nassim had a chance of beating Nyjah in their first head to head bracket. Then the crowd started chanting for Nassim. After the last minute of the jam with both skaters getting in their bangers, it was Nassim on top by just 1.33 points to advance. When it was announced, the crowd went nuts. Nyjah smiled and congratulated Nassim for knocking him out of the brackets. In the end, Kelvin who didn't have to skate against Nyjah because of that, ended up winning the $100k. The tricks here are just a small sample of what went down. HiDefJoe is only one person filming these two rippers.
