Throwforward Tuesdays: Bid'niss Updates About Our Future
Published 12/10/2013 by Rob Meronek
Every week on Tuesday, we're dropping a little bit of info on our plans and bid'niss doings for the future. It might be a contract signed, it might be a new staff member, etc. The first installment of Throwforward Tuesdays is a Black Friday shopping spree we went on. You shopped for shoes and gadgets? We shopped for real estate. Specifically, buildings. Specifically, warehouses. More on that next Tuesday.

Welcome to The Boardr
8/1/2013
Well I need somewhere to put all this silly crap I like to do like foot fetish, Nerdsday Thursday, skate photos, silly videos, and other random banter. So, I started The Boardr today after my last day at Skatepark of Tampa. The Boardr will house all the stuff I love about skateboarding plus a new system I'm creating to help people simply and easily run skateboarding events with a digital, mobile scoring system. Shortly after August, it then evolved into a full blown skateboarding professional services company where I'm partnered up with Ryan Clements. Thanks for stopping by.
An Official Bid'niss Milestone for The Boardr
11/19/2013
It's been a fun few months of building a company from scratch. Today, we set an accounting formality and officially started The Boardr payroll. The first four employees are Ryan Clements, Jorge Angel aka Porpe, Bob Freeman, and Rob Meronek behind the lens here. I wonder how long this is going to last? I would guess 2013 to infinity. Thank you for the support, thanks skateboarding for everything else, and here's to 2014! That other document Ryan is holding is another piece of important sentiment for us that I'll address in another post. I just wanted to have it in this memorable photo and early milestone.

This dude at Forecast Magazine in Europe that interviewed Ryan Clements got him talking about everything from a bit of what we're up to these days to what went down at Skatepark of Tampa that broke the best bid'niss/friendship team in the world to pieces.

Construction Progress at The Boardr Headquarters

Before we can build the skate stuff, we have to get the bill paying stuff done. That would be retail and office space. I can't wait to get started back in retail and customer service again. We'll be open for online orders in just a few weeks!
2013 Year in Review With The Boardr, SPoT Fallout, and More
12/31/2013
December 26, 2012: I'm starting this a few days prior to the end of the year last year. I was super happy with how 2012 went. We turned retail and margins around a few years prior and the health of the business was showing that, Justin Ryan's brand management in our shop was working great, SPoTlight Productions was killing it with worldwide events, the staff was hyped, and I proudly cheered to my partners (Clements, Schaefer, and Porpe) about how excited I was about 2013 coming to continue it all together.
