2018 Skateboard Contest Participation Stats
Published 12/18/2018 by Rob Meronek
With the year wrapping up for 2018, we ran some numbers on our own GFL Series and The Boardr Am Series participation. We also threw in a look at SPoT All Ages Contests and the Damn Am Series, both of which we used to work on six years ago before The Boardr started. And finally, we see how Cowtown's Phoenix Am and Zumiez Best Foot Forward Series has looked over the years.
Is skateboarding contest participation on the up or down as far as the amateur and all skills levels? It's a little hard to tell from here. Either way, we'll see you in 2019 doing much more of the same. Check our events list to see where we'll be next.

The Grind for Life Series Presented by Marinela has increased participation over the years, but also has increased stops. Find out more about this all ages and skills series in both bowl and street at GFLSeries.com.
We started The Boardr Am in 2016. It's a series of amateur street skateboarding contests with stops around the United States. We started with six stops, but the last two years, we've been doing three stops with the Season Finals being at Montreal in conjunction with Am Getting Paid. Find out more and register at TheBoardrAm.com.
Zumiez Best Foot Forward has been going over ten years strong. When The Boardr started, they were one of the first customers using The Boardr Live™ to run their events. Not sure what that big spike was in 2016, but we hope to see their participation stay on the up like that.
