Red Bull Pin Drop brought together the worlds of video games and skateboarding to celebrate the re-release of Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3+4. At this unique event, skaters and gamers competed in Qualifiers to earn a spot in the Finals. The catch was that in the Finals, the top skaters and gamers would team up in pairs. Each skater had three, 50-second runs. Their best score was combined with their teammate's best score of playing two rounds of 90-second Trick Attack. Then the two highest scores were combined.
The crew got fully into the spirit of the game, dressing up as Officer Dick for the day. We also hid some rental pads and Secret Tapes. People attending the event could win prizes by finding them or collecting SKATE in an augmented reality version of the THPS Secret Secret Challenges.
