4th Annual Skate DSM Streetstyle Open

September 19 - 21, 2024

An open street contest that runs throughout the city of Des Moines.

Schedule

Thursday the 19th: Cowles Commons
- 5pm: Open Skating
- 7pm: 2-Trick Lines Contest
  - Limited Registration done on-site
  - Obstacles are a bump to bar followed by a ledge and flat bar
  - 4 skater jams, 8 minutes each
    - Skate in order, two tricks required for a score
  - Top 5 qualify for Finals
    - 5 tries each
- 8pm Cash for Tricks on new surprise obstacle!
  - Open to anyone
- 9pm: After-Party
  - Ricochet, 400 Locust Street, Ste 105
Friday the 20th: In the Streets
- 1pm: Downtown School Gap
  - Limited Registration done on site, advanced skaters only
  - 2pm: Contest
    - 2, 30 minute Jams
- 4pm: Red Bull Manny Mania
  - Limited Registration done on-site
  - 5pm: Contest
    - 5 skater jams, 10 minutes each, judged on overall impression
- 9pm: After-Party at Single Speed Brewery
  - Art Show
  - Performance by Leo Romero
Saturday the 21st: Lauridsen Skatepark
- 9am: Registration and Practice

- ADAPTIVE STREET Presented by Iowa Lottery
  - 10:30am: Practice
  - 11am: Men’s
    - 3 skater jams, 3 minutes each
  - 11:30am: Women’s
    - 3 skater jams, 3 minutes each
- WOMEN’S STREET
  - 12pm: Practice
  - 1pm: Contest
    - Format
      - 3 skater jams, 3 minutes each
      - Top 6 make the cut to Finals
      - Finals: 3, 1 minute runs, best run counts
- 2pm: Adaptive Street and Women’s Street Awards
- MEN’S STREET
  - Practice
  - 2:30pm: Contest
    - Format
      - 3 skater jams, 3 minutes each
      - Top 18 make the cut to the Semi-Finals
      - Semi-Finals: 3 skater jams, 3 minutes each
      - Top 6 make the cut to the Finals
      - Finals: 3, 1 minute runs, best run counts
- BOWL
  - 5pm: Bowl Jam
    - Open to anyone
    - Women’s: 20 minutes
    - Men’s: 20 minutes
    - Cash for tricks
    - Awards for MVP Women’s and MVP Men’s
- Awards immediately following
- 8pm: After-Party
