About

Mano A Mano brings 24 of the world’s best male and female transition skaters together to compete head-to-head in games of S.K.A.T.E on the iconic mini-ramp at Woodward West.

Mano A Mano is a private, spectator-free event with a low-pressure atmosphere that focuses on allowing skaters to have fun and be creative.

Videos will be released on the Woodward YouTube channel in May 2022.

Schedule

• Tuesday, March 15th: Arrive at Woodward
  • 2pm: Arrival
    • Open session at Woodward
    • Check-in, register for the Contest, and get your room key at the front gate
    • Skater interviews
  • 4pm: Mini-contests with $1,000 cash purse
    • Head to head Death Races
    • Best Trick on obstacles TBD
  • 6pm: Riders' Meeting at Mini-Ramp at the Hangar
    • Pizza and a fun practice session
    • Practice Games of SKATE
    • Full rehearsal with lights and cameras
  • 8pm: Camp closes for the evening
• Wednesday, March 16th: Games of SKATE
  • 8am: Breakfast at the Cafeteria
  • 9am: Check-in and Practice at the Hangar, drop off room keys
  • 10am: Women’s Bracket Seeding and Contest
  • 12pm: Lunch served at the Hangar
  • 12:30pm: Men’s Bracket Seeding and Contest

Rules

• Roshambo to determine who goes first
• Names drawn from a hat will create initial match-ups
• Offense will alternate regardless of make or bail
• Make, bail, or re-do is at the discretion of the head judge
• Last letter gets two attempts

  • First round (8) @ $250 = $2,000
  • 2nd round (4) @ $500 = $2,000
  • 3rd round (2) @ $750 = $1,500
  • 4th round (1) @ $1500 = $1,500
  • Winner (1) @ $3,000 = $3,000
  • Total = $10,000
• Womens Purse, 8 Skaters
  • First round (4) @ $250 = $1,000
  • 2nd round (2) @ $500 = $1,000
