An open skateboarding and BMX contest for kids 16 and under of all skill levels. Helmets are required at all Hot Wheels Junior Series events.

There are some basic food options on site at Woodward PA. For lodging at Woodward, you can contact them at 814-349-5633 to book and ask for Jan Williams, Director of Woodward Housing.

Divisions

In each discipline, the divisions and order is as follows:

  • Women's (16 and Under)
    • Women are grouped into one division for all ages
  • 10 and Under
    • Beginner to intermediate level, ages 10 and under
  • 11 to 16
    • Beginner to intermediate level, ages 11 to 16
  • Advanced (16 and Under)
    • One division for all ages

Registration

Registration is $40 per stop. You can enter multiple disciplines in your division.

Schedule

  • Friday, August 31
    • 2pm - 8pm - Registration and Practice - BMX and Skateboarding
    • 6pm - Riders' Meeting at Registration
      • We'll be reviewing the basics of how the Contest works and you can ask us any questions you have about the event
  • Saturday, September 1 - All BMX Events
    • Contest areas (Mini-Mega, street in The School, and The Cage) will be open for skating when BMX events are not happening, but the rest of Woodward will not be available.
    • 9am - 1pm - Registration, Practice, and Clinic
    • 11am - Dirt Contest (Medium)
      • 3 runs, best run counts
      • Awards immediately following
    • 1pm - Park Contest (Cage)
      • Format
        • Organized jams of 5
        • 4 runs, ride until you fall, 30-seconds max
        • Judged on overall impression
      • Awards immediately following
    • 3pm - Street Contest (The School)
      • Format
        • 3 rider Jams
        • 3 minutes each
        • Judged on overall impression
      • Awards immediately following
        • Challenge Accepted Award - this award is given to one outstanding participant that demonstrates an elevated level of determination and perseverance at any time during the event, not necessarily specifically during the contest.
  • Sunday, September 2 - All Skateboarding Events
    • 9am - 1pm - Registration, Practice, and Clinic
    • 11am - Mini-Mega
      • Format
        • 5 runs, best run counts
      • Awards immediately following
    • 1pm - Park (Cage)
      • Format
        • Organized jams of 5
        • 4 runs, skate until you fall, 30-second max
        • Judged on overall impression
      • Awards immediately following
    • 3pm - Street (The School)
      • Format
        • 3 skater Jams
        • 3 mins each
        • Judged on overall impression
      • Awards immediately following
        • Challenge Accepted Award - this award is given to one outstanding participant that demonstrates an elevated level of determination and perseverance at any time during the event, not necessarily specifically during the contest.
    • Immediately following - Skateboarding Daredevil Duel (location TBD)
      • Head-to-head matches where a race around a specific path on the street course is taken
