Copenhagen Open 2015

Last year it was Copenhagen Bowl. This year, The Copenhagen Open is shaping up to be something involving both ams and pros in a unique new format.

The good people of CPH Skatepark want to celebrate skateboarding by expanding the city's skate limits, every year creating new places to skate. Check out a tour of what we're in for this year as seen through the eyes of Shane O'Neill.

Schedule

• 2pm - The Boardr Am Street Contest at Fælledparken. Full details and online registration here
• 8pm - Bowl Demo - Cash for Tricks at Fælledparken. No kids, heroes only!

• 2pm - Street Session at the White Banks at Nansensgade
  • Only lines with a three trick minimum count
  • Four skater jams/eight minutes each/skate in order
  • Top five skaters proceed to Semi-Finals
• 5pm - Hammer Session at the Dream Spot at SEB Bank
  • Each skater's three best tricks count
  • Six skater jams/12 minutes each
  • Top five skaters proceed to Semi-Finals
• 8pm - Ledges, Slappy Curbs, and Beers at V1 Gallery, Meat Packing District
  • Only lines with a two trick minimum count. Must be two separate obstacles
  • Four skater jams/eight minutes each/skate in order
  • Top five skaters proceed to Semi-Finals
• 11pm - After Party at Jolene's

• 12pm - Kids Only Street Contest - open for 14 years and under at CPH SKATEPARK
• 5pm - Pro Street Session at CPH SKATEPARK
  • Three skater jams/four minutes each
  • Top five skaters proceed to Semi-Finals
• 7pm - Head to Head Death Races
  • Winner proceeds to the Semi-Finals
• 9pm - Geek Killer at Enghaveplads

• 2pm - Bodega Hammer at Tivoli
  • Six skater jams/12 minutes each
  • Top five skaters proceed to Semi-Finals
• 7pm - The Triangle Street Session at Refshaleøen Island
  • Semi-Finals
    • Skaters from Qualifiers plus wildcards chosen by The Council
    • Three skater jams/four minutes each
    • Top six make the cut to Finals
  • Finals
    • Three runs, best run counts
    • A runs consists of two trips around the triangle, either direction
• 11pm - Burning Cows and Final Party at Refshaleøen Island

• 2pm - Happy Ending at The Concrete Wave at Kalvebod Brygge
