The Boardr Fund

How It Works

To get a Boardr Fund started, apply here.

Donations to your fund can be requested when your balance reaches $100 or more and are made by sending a request to A check will be mailed to your address on file after basic fraud verification procedures. Our check run cycle is bi-weekly. Charges are 7% plus 2.9% credit card processing fees. The amount of your request will have these fees and charges deducted.

The Boardr Funds are an administrative platform only. The Boardr facilitates the donation transaction between skateboarders and donors, but is not a party to any agreement between them, or between any user and a Charity. The Boardr is not a broker, agent, financial institution, creditor or insurer for any user. The Boardr has no control over the conduct of, or any information provided by, a skateboarder on their profile, and The Boardr hereby disclaims all liability in this regard to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law.

The Boardr does not and cannot verify how the donated funds are used by the recipient. We assume no responsibility to verify whether the donations are used in accordance with any applicable laws; such responsibility rests solely with the skateboarder recipient, as applicable.

As a donor, you have the option to publicly display your donation for all to see, including on search engines (like Google and Yahoo). To keep the details of your donation private, simply do not click the "Publish" checkbox during the donation process.

Fradulent Payments

Payments reported as fradulent or disputed by donors are immediately deducted from both our account and your Boardr Fund balance until resolved with Stripe, our payment processor.

When Payments Are Available for Withdrawl

To avoid fradulent payments and the risk of stolen credit cards used to fund your account, there is a 30 day grace period for withdrawing funds. This will allow for enough time for stolen credit cards to be reported and us to be notified to investigate. We hope to have that time period reduced in the future. As of now when we're first launching The Boardr Fund, the grace period is 30 days. Once a donation to your fund becomes 30 days old, it is then available for withdrawl.

When making a donation, the information on the form we collect is the minimum required for fraud protection, documenting the donation, and notifying both you and the recipient of the transaction. We collect name, postal code, and email. Your credit card details are not stored anywhere and never touch The Boardr servers. All details and transactions are handled directly by Stripe, our credit card processor.

We will use the email address you provide to contact you with any questions regarding the donation transaction.

Two things are shared with the recipient when you donate: the amount of the donation and your name. You receive a copy of the email sent to the recipient. The email you use is not stored or saved on any mailing lists. To join The Boardr Mailing List, you have to sign up here.
