The Vans Sk8-Hi has been in skateboarding as long as the wheel itself. These days, advances in certain shoe technology have made it better under the hood, but outside where it really matters hasn't changed a bit. Some of us here at The Boardr are from the 80's era of skateboarding, some are from the 90's, and some even from more recent times. We all can be found in a Sk8-Hi, though. This Vans shoe is the classic of all classics. If you're lucky, you can catch some out front in the creek at The Boardr Store like Casey Wayne here:
Vans doesn't even need an introduction, right? Well, I'll introduce anyway. Skateboarders wear Vans. Skateboarders have always worn Vans, even far before Spicoli. The Waffle Grip and classic style have always been the perfect balance between form and function. We not only skate in Vans here at The Boardr, we work with them helping to execute some of their biggest events like the worldwide Vans Park Series every year. We're hyped to be carrying a brand that has been such a big part of skateboarding history. No matter how young or old you are, Vans is also part of your personal skateboard history, too. Thanks for picking them up from us.
Shoes are probably the single most important thing in skateboarding outside of your skateboard itself. Function matters of course, but the judgement cast on you for your choice in footwear can be intense. Let us guide you.
