Nike SB China Friends in Town

Our friends from Nike SB China are in town for a couple weeks and stopped by the Dream Driveway today to skate, fish, and be all American as you can be while visiting here. I've got a few snaps and some ripping fishing footage from my phone. Johnny Tang has control of the rod and reel just as good as he does with the wood and wheels.

Behind the Dream Driveway is the Hillsborough River running through Tampa. Johnny Tangs fisherman blood cannot resist the rod and reel call. He brought the entire Nike SB China crew to the house today for a taste of some classic America.

This is what we're usually doing on the road. Today, Xie Wen Kai is the tourist posting this to whatever the Instagram of China is. It's nice to see out of town friends be tourists in our own town.
Uncle Sam's skipping the fishing in the back for the skating out front. That's a fakie 5-0 switch frontside 180 out.
Xie Wen Kai is all about the front and the back, handling the box after the rod and reel.
Man, I got too many new names to remember. Sorry, forgot your name, homie. That's a nollie frontside nosegrind that you'll probably see in the contest next week.
The crew was also here doing some product photos. Never not working, as one of their shirts says. It's an Asian thing. Thanks everyone for stopping by!

Old Guy Street Spots in Shanghai, China

When you're 42, it's nice that the best city in the world for street skating has spots that are old guy friendly. I could spend all day at this low impact bump to grass gap. Photos and of course a cell phone edit coming up later. Thanks to HiDefJoe for filming these two clips of me this weekend.
Damn Am Shanghai and Nike SB's City Jam Finals

Our friends at Nike SB China have a contest series of ams and pros called City Jam. They have us out here each year to help with running the Finals for both the pro and the am portion. They take the winner from each one and get them a trip to Tampa Am. Before we had to get to work, we got to spend a whole day just checking out the city and other random tourist stuff. I've also got a cell phone edit as I pointed my phone in your face for the entire trip. Thanks to Nike SB for having us in China to help run their amazing event.

Nike's Stefan Lunar Wear Test Documented by HiDefJoe

HiDefJoe recently spent a week on a South Florida adventure to capture the good times on a wear test of Nike's new Stefan shoe with the heavenly footbed they call Lunar. Starting at MIA and going through Naples, our former employer SPoT, and on to Lakeland's park where we'll be on Go Skateboarding Day, it sure looked like a damn good skateboard time, especially combined with Joe's style in capturing it all.
Nike SB Friendly in Brazil

Nike SB's team recently took a skate trip through Brazil around all these soccer games. I know firsthand how close Weiger is with it after seeing him on the streets devastated at Holland's loss four years ago in Amsterdam when we were there for an am contest we were running. Nike SB has teamed up with Familia Skateshop for their collaborative edition of the Dunk high Premium. Textured blue suede covers most of the shoe while a white toe and laces contrast against the textured upper. The highlight of the look comes in the form of a yellow swoosh with matching embroidery on the heel. To top it off, the shoe is lined with a buffalo plaid print to give it a lumberjack feel.
