A Review of the 53 Pen and Rebirth of My Art Career

Wednesday, January 22, 2014

The folks at Paper recently made a great stylus for the iPad that not only works with their app, but others on iPad like Photoshop, and it's super sick. I'm using it to clown up all my photos from now on.

Normal People Falling on Skateboards Will Make Your Day

Tuesday, January 21, 2014

So earlier I posted a skateboarding cat video, now I'm onto a "fail" video. Wow, we're sinking to a new low in content today. This video of people eating doo doo on skateboards is pretty damn good, though. The opener with the dude getting speed wobbles on a long board and nearly losing his life before going scorpion in the bushes is worth it alone.

23 Olympic Sports That Skateboarders Would Dominate

Tuesday, December 3, 2013

Professional skateboarders probably have a better chance of hanging up their boards and start taking archery lessons if they want a gold medal that doesn't have a Youhoo logo on it. Or, dust off the ol' boxing gloves.

Thursday, October 31, 2013

Instagram is killing off the significance of skateboard magazines. It became apparent a few days ago while I was taking a poop. There I was in my bathroom—which should look like your bathroom with a pile of skate mags next to the toilet—scrolling away on Instagram.

How far are we into this longboard takeover? Has it been 10 years yet? It's been mind-blowing to see some of the products born from this rise in 'no tricks' skateboarding. There are Kickstarters getting funded and other wacky inventions focused on this new leisure for people of all ages, especially old ages. I've got a few to contribute to the mix. Take one and run with it! Thank me later after your first million.

Skateboarding Shuts Down

Wednesday, October 9, 2013

Skateboarding has had its share of financial crisis over the years. The recession hit shops hard, we had the old blank boards movement claiming the sky was falling, the contest bubble that Rob Dyrdek referred to, etc. I don't think we're too far off from having a skateboarding shutdown just like the gub'ment. Let's take a look at what it might look like...

The Amazing Richie Jackson Show

Sunday, October 6, 2013

The type of person that polarizes people and their opinions where you either love them or hate them usually is a great source of entertainment. Richie Jackson is one of those people. He's been running a YouTube show called The Amazing Richie Jackson Skateboard Show that's pretty damn funny if you get past your likely initial rolling of the eyes. This one about the hated varial flip by skateboard elitists is pretty funny.
